Marianne Rebel werd in 1951 geboren in Bussum.
Naast haar baan als grafoloog schilderde Marianne Rebel in de beslotenheid van
haar eigen omgeving totdat zij in 1991 koos voor het vrije kunstenaars bestaan.
Zij laat zich inspireren door sterke primaire kleuren.
Haar figuren zijn krachtig, opvallend van postuur en forst op het doek gezet.
Met haar karikaturale benadering van de onderwerpen heeft Marianne Rebel een
bijzondere aandacht voor details.
